Asembl App to Power User-Created Events in New York City New York, NY, September 11, 2017 — Asembl Corporation (asembl), the technology company focused on bringing people together to engage more fully and more often in the activities they love, today announced the launch of its flagship application, asembl, which is available for free on iOS. After a successful beta, this all-mobile experience offers users the ability to experience an innovative new social experience, by interacting, sharing and growing their social circle like never before through organized events. The asembl app features:
The ability to set up a profile and choose the types of activities in which the user is interested. asembl has over 50 pre-set activities, such as yoga, cycling and opera, which are sorted and visible on a map interface, so the user can see what is going on around them today, tomorrow or within the week. Every event on asembl is created by a real person looking for people to participate in an activity at a specific time and place.
Users have the ability to fine tune what they see on their map by filtering events, viewing only what their friends (or specific friends) are doing, or only what events friends, as well as friends-of-friends are attending. They can also limit what they see by age range and gender of attendees and distance from the user.
When creating an event, users identify their event using the same attributes by which they filter their map, allowing users to hone in on who they want to invite, while also being sure that only users who might be interested in their event will get the invite.
A multitude of events are listed on asembl and updated daily, making it even easier for users to find activities that fit their unique interests, or even try something new.
asembl matches residents of New York City and surrounding areas with other individuals who are interested in similar hobbies and activities. With the app, users will be able to discover new activities, meet new people and continue to enjoy all that New York has to offer. asembl’s motto is to “Find People. Do Something,” and with the ability to discover both similar and new interests, users will be able to foster happier and more productive ways to spend their days. Stevan Nicholas, CEO of asembl said: “Living in New York City is an amazing experience, but at times we miss out on fun and interesting events because either we may not know that they are happening, we don’t have anybody to go with, or simply because we do not have the time to organize a group. The goal of asembl is to change all of that, to do away with these hurdles and bring people together to enjoy and discover what New York City has to offer.”
