asembl presents: a comedy show at Old Man Hustle

We like laughing. So we decided to start hosting monthly comedy shows at Old Man Hustle in Williamsburg (mapweb). First one's on Tuesday the 25th and it's going to be great. Tix are $12 on Eventbrite but just $8 if you get them through the asembl app.

Our founder wanted to MC this thing but then remember he has stage fright and isn't funny. So we needed a host. And we found an amazing one in David Drake.

David Drake is a comedian. He is a very funny comedian. He has been featured on Sirius XM's "Raw Dog Comedy", "Laughs on Fox", "'Who's Laughing Now?" and "Trial by Laughter". He was named one of Complex Magazine's "Comics to Watch Under 30" and his three comedy albums "Dave" , "Sorry Mom", and "Live from the Gutter" all debuted at number one on the iTunes comedy charts. We are excited to have him at Old Man Hustle.

Here's a funny clip from him:

You might think that we'd need more than one comedian to make this sort of this work. We thought that as well, so we got a few more.

Saurin Choksi does comedy and makes good things in New York City.

His stand up has been featured on "Laughs on Fox" and Sirius/XM radio and also hosted a television show on Fuse called "White Guy Talk Show" where he talked about pop culture and wore suits he couldn't afford. He also created internet videos for

Choksi relaxes by sewing, crafting, and making stuff. He loves his wife, his family, and 4 of his friends. He thinks you should be nice to yourself and is impressed by your power.

Here's a bit from him:

Drew Michael is generally hilarious and also did an HBO special. It followed him as he navigated his fears, anxieties and insecurities in an unconventional stand-up setting.

Michael has written for Saturday Night Live and recorded a stand-up special for the cable series "The Half Hour", as well as the stand-up albums "Lovely" and "Funny to Death".
